SWOCA Superintendents:

Last December, SWOCA experienced an issue with our network that impacted all of our users and resulted in an approximate two-week time span of disrupted service. This type of disruption in our network is highly unusual for SWOCA and we understand how much you, your staff, faculty, and students rely on a stable network to perform your daily operations and carry out instruction. Now that the issue is behind us and the dust has settled on the holidays, we feel it is important to provide our district leaders and technology directors with a full explanation of what happened and the steps we have taken to minimize it happening again.

We have planned a 45-minute virtual meeting featuring SWOCA staff and representatives from Fortinet and Liquid Networx to explain what happened (in layman terms) and answer any of your questions. A similar meeting is being scheduled for your tech directors.
